Project Coordinator

Job Summary

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the operative management of a new product development project on site at manufacturing/engineering locations once one Product Development Request is approved and project is established. This position requires an enthusiastic approach to coordinating multi-functional project teams, and to ensure deliverables are complete according to agreed metrics for quality, financials and timing. The person filling this position is expected to motivate and assist other members of his/her projects team on following the Company new product introduction procedure, directives and requirements, to report status of the assigned projects to Product Management and to consolidate any project documentation required for Gate Reviews and operational Product Committee meetings. Location: Grubbenvorst

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead projects to ensure the implementation of objectives (Quality, costs, deadlines) using the AGCO methodology (AMPIP) in the context of common platforms or local projects.
  • Manage all phases of development of new products from product definition, start-up production and project completion.
  • Interface with the project teams members located at the other sites, to facilitate the participation of each member of the project group. Facilitate the flow of project information. Facilitate convergence and problem-solving. Develop the proposals and ensure that the teams are signed up. Eliminate roadblocks and develop associated action plans
  • From the defined product plan, consolidate the specifications and content of new projects, synthesize applications in the form of functional specifications (NPS, wish list,...) for the expected functions of the sprayer, which will be the deliverables for the team.
  • For each AMPIP phase, coordinate the collection and control the delivery of the project deliverables. Complete the necessary information in the Project Tracking System (LDC). Prepare monthly project status reports (comprehensive report, OPC report,...) for validation by the PLE/PM.
  • Distribute reports of meetings to project team members, develop summary reports for good risk visibility and advancement statuses. Conduct reports to ensure traceability and archiving of decisions made during the life of the project.
  • In collaboration with the purchase, manufacturing and design teams, ensure that objective costs are taken into account during the various phases of project progress.
  • Play the role of facilitator if a problem has been raised at coordination meetings. Escalate issues to Team Leaders, then to the Engineering Manager if a solution is not identified.
  • Ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Ensure that the project's objectives are achieved on time, in quality and cost.
  • Prepare and manage Project Team meetings.
  • Lead product change process
  • Assist and advise the various members of the project team.
  • Support manufacturing in the supply of pre-series and series parts, inform of risks and ongoing releases. (NPT,...)
  • Ensure compliance with rules and procedures.
  • Propose new ideas in your field of activity.
  • Propose cost-cutting initiatives.

Expertise

  • Good overall level of understanding of New Product Development/Introduction(NPI) procedures and tools
  • Understanding of the roles & responsibilities of a cross-functional team involved in any NPI project
  • Has to have excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to address and resolve issues in an objective, fact-based, professional fashion
  • The ability to coordinate and unite teams on project objectives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey new strategies, processes/approaches
  • Knowledge of the processes and stages of development of new products.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, marketing, product management or related discipline is required.
  • 3 years project management experience in a large, international manufacturing company is required.
  • 1 year experience in Agricultural, Forestry, and Construction equipment or automotive is a pré.
  • Well-developed leadership skills including the ability to persuade and influence others
  • Knowledge of Project management and coordination (planning, communication, conflict management, financial indicators, risk analysis,...)
  • Fluent English. German and/or Dutch is a pré.
  • Function requires corporation with supplier, AGCO and related enterprises.
  • Function requires a certain percentage of travelling; +/- 15%
