Logistics Planner (Order Planner) - Location Venlo

Arvato Supply Chain Solutions is expanding in terms of warehouse space and internal developments as well as in number of employees. To expand our growing operation, we are looking for a Order Planner (Also Wave Planner) for our Site in Venlo who is available full-time. The responsibility within this team lies in the up-to-date and accurate management of the stock and available resources for the operation and your customer. You are flexible in terms of working hours, working early and late shifts is part of the position.

The Order Planner is someone who has deep knowledge of logistics processes. You come into contact with different departments, processes and people and you have a high responsibility.

You are responsible for releasing and monitoring orders. You anticipate on the operation to ensure that there is no downtime and that all orders are shipped on time. You must therefore be able to look ahead and identify potential bottlenecks and prevent them where possible.

When releasing these orders you not only create work for your own department, but also for other departments. In addition, it is important that you are able to communicate about the workload that you give your colleagues. Furthermore, you are one of the first points of contact for the operation when there are problems with orders, system and equipment. You report into the Warehouse Supervisor.

Your duties and responsibilities

• You are responsible for monitoring and releasing orders;
• Indicating possible bottlenecks and solving them before they escalate;
• Point of contact with the operation when there are problems with orders, systems and material;
• Actively engaged with process optimization and suggestion improvements;
• Communication with all other departments, such as supervisors, assistant supervisors, Transport Planners and other colleagues.

Skills to look at on your CV:

• MBO+ / HBO working and thinking level;
• You have excellent knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written;
• You have extensive and demonstrable experience in the use of Excel and SAP;
• You have knowledge of production / logistics processes, preferably in contract logistics.
