Production planner

What will you do as a Production Planner at Arvato?

As a Production Planner Logistics you are responsible for planning the resources and ensuring timely shipment by systematically preparing the orders and monitoring the progress. You will be working together with one other Production Planner and report to the Warehouse Supervisor.

In order to make a good resource planning you will be in touch with the customer to talk about their forecast for transformation activities, based on this information you’ll make the material planning. Before ordering your materials you request quotes from supplier(s) and work closely with the PRO solutions team to get PO's placed and get optimal lead times to meet customer requirements. You’re not only responsible for orders and planning, but also for the monthly PO invoicing for transformation activities. To do so you’ll have close communication with the Account Manager.

Furthermore your duties and responsibilities are:

• Creating pricing & PO requests for rework activities;
• Plan production for requested TRF activities based on component availability & resources
• Weekly Teams calls with the client discussing future TRF activities / forecasts;
• Work closely together with the Supervisor & operations team for optimal planning execution;
• Involved with external communication to become the first point of contact for the client.

Qualifications you bring with you as a Production Planner?

To be successful in the position of Production Planner you are communicative, strong-minded and analytical.

• Mbo+ working and thinking level;
• You have excellent knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written;
• You have extensive and demonstrable experience in the use of Excel;
• You have knowledge of production / logistics processes, preferably in contract logistics;
• It's preferred that you have knowledge of SAP.
