For our warehouse in Venlo we are looking for a Supervisor , working for various client’s in the High Tech branch. It’s a fulltime job in a high demanding supply chain environment.
As Supervisor at Arvato you know how to achieve the best productivity with high quality standards. It is your main task to improve and innovate the process and also to succeed in efficiency. We expect from our Supervisor to be present on the floor to provide direction. As a person you are proactive, solution-oriented and master the downs in the process. The department consists of one other Supervisor, one Assistant Supervisor and two Operational Administration Support Employees. You are indirectly leading per shift between the 20 and 40 employees, depending on the client’s season. In this position you directly report to the Warehouse Manager.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
* Monitoring, adjusting/directing, coaching and assessing a team of logistics staff and operational admin support employees;
* The daily operation, management and composition of the department in consultation with the warehouse manager;
* You monitor processes, the quality, quantity and continuity of services and you are co-responsible for fulfilling the high quality requirements of our clients;
* You ensure a motivated group of employees and support to achieve these goals, as well as taking care of various HR tasks regarding sickleave, performance etc;
* You are responsible for the timely identification of improvement projects related to new ways of working and any bottlenecks and actively contribute to these;
* Preparation and implementation of the planning. You put the right employee in the right place based on orders;
* You are responsible for adequate administrative processing in the appropriate systems;
* Taking care of correct communication with other departments within the warehouse operation;
* You oversee the proper use of equipment and rolling stock and report malfunctions to the technical department.
What we are looking for in a supervisor
As a Supervisor at Arvato you are proactive, solution-oriented, a natural leader and you have analytical skills. As a leader you are a real people manager with different kinds of management styles and the know how to get everyone on the same page.
What we look for in your resume:
* MBO+ level;
* 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role;
* Knowledge of logistic processes;
* You are fluent in English, verbally and written. Knowledge of Dutch or German is a pré;
* Affinity with SAP or another Warehouse Management System.
