Workforce Planner

What will you do as a Workforce Planner at Arvato?

As a Workforce Planner at Arvato you are responsible for developing and maintaining an effective planning-process that aligns resources and demand accurately. You will be responsible for an economically effective operation and human resource planning, for your assigned site/department/customer-operation.

You are the absolute expert when it comes to a detailed labor requirement planning. It does not matter whether they request a long-term forecast or a planning on a daily level; you can deliver the accurate data. In order to do this, you are constantly aligning with the temp agency for the temp employee planning and your team members, your teamwork and collaboration will make a successfully centralized workforce planning.
In this position you will work closely with account management, operations management, workforce manager and supervisors in order to get a reliable client-forecast, and determine applicable productivities and dependences that will affect the resource plan. You report to the Workforce Manager, responsible for your department with a dotted line to the Operations Manager.

Tasks you’ll be responsible for

• Coordinate proactive as well as reactive adjustments to plan, including resource balancing;
• Host frequent operation planning alignment meetings with operations management, as well as sessions with cluster partners including both in and external parties;
• Participate in regular strategic as well as tactical alignment meetings between cluster planners and the workforce planning manager (Oversight and governance);
• Changing work schedules to optimize performance;
• Develop and deliver accurate, strategy-focused and insightful reporting.

Qualifications you bring with you as a Workforce Planner

For this position we are looking for a professional with approximately 3 years of experience in a similar role, in a logistics & warehousing preferably 3pl environment. You are able to build a good work-relationship with your external business partners and internal stakeholders e.g. account management, operations management, supervisor and your peers. You can take on the role as an advisor to the decision makers by using your strong analytical and reporting skills and expertise that will be the foundation for your advice. Furthermore, we are looking for someone with:

• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written;
• Good knowledge of Excel;
• A vocational and/or bachelor degree.
