Canon Production Printing develops, produces and distributes high-end printing systems. The consumables department is responsible for the availability of consumables like toner, ink, printheads and expendables which are needed to keep those systems printing at our customers. The supply chain management department consists of nearly 20 supply chain engineers and supply chain planners which work in teams to support the various factories and product lines.
Your Role as Supply Chain Planner
Your task will be to make sure that the right quantity of raw materials is available in time for production to run smoothly. In alignment with supply chain engineering you take care of the detailed setup and continuous maintenance and improvement of the supply chain like material planning, material control, assembly, production, stock takes, internal deliveries, etc.
This position is based in Venlo.
A good example
You have just reviewed the MRP proposals to release orders for raw materials. As you see demand has increased you pro-actively contact your supplier to discuss the possibilities to improve delivery dates. At the same time you check if all confirmed deliveries are still on track for delivery coming week.
We are looking for someone with a strong operational focus, an energetic drive to secure material supply at all times and with good communicative skills. You have proven experience with problem solving and are a well-organized team player. Furthermore, you meet the following requirements:
You can also be a starter at HBO level, if you have the ambition to work minimum 2 years in this role to gain operational experience
