Office Depot Europe has an exciting opportunity for a Credit Controller to join our European headquarters in Venlo, the Netherlands. The role is a parttime 32 hours, permanent positionoffering an excellent salary and benefits package.

Your role as a Credit Controller

To maximize cash collection and ensure that uncollected invoices become collected, whilst maintaining a good relationship with customers. On a daily base you will check/audit the (individual) new customers and credit hold pool. You will analyse the customer’s financial situation and propose the most appropriate solution in order to obtain payments.

  • External contact with clients
  • Reaches individual and collective goals on past due balances
  • Arranges payment agreements for unpaid invoices fe: telephone / e-Billing / email / letter
  • Transmits concerned cases to the disputed claims team following local standards
  • Manages incoming calls, Emails, dispatches calls to appropriate credit teams
  • Tracks disputed claims (After-Sales Service cases) in order to find a quick solution for obtaining payment of invoices
  • According to teams and workloads, updates customer files (address changes, evaluate and merge duplicate accounts, return to sender…)
  • Internal stakeholder management with different teams such as Call Center teams, Sales teams and finance

What do you need to be successful in this role

  • MBO degree in Finance, accounting, administration or similar
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Credit Controlling
  • NativeDutch and Business English required. Frenchis an additional plus
  • Experience with information Systems as AS400, JDE, MS-Office; SAP, Oracle (Cloud) and Salesforce is an additional plus
  • Understanding of financial statements, accounting basics.
  • Strong communication skill, customer focused, commercial driven and can work well under pressure
