Office Depot Europe has an exciting opportunity for a Team Manager Accounts Receivable to join our European headquarters in Venlo, the Netherlands. The role is a fulltime, permanent position offering an excellent salary and benefits package.
Your role as a Team Manager Accounts Receivable
Leading the team of Accounts Receivable DACH in Venlo, monitoring and optimizing the A/R processes. Has an active contribution both locally as in the Shared Service Center (SSC).
Collects and monitors on-going feedback in order to ensure the internal/external customers are satisfied with the service provided. Leads, motivates and monitors team’s activity in order to ensure continuity of activity and reach the KPI’s agreed with the internal customers.
- You are responsible for the daily planning of all A/R tasks and achieving the corresponding objectives and deadlines.
- You are monitoring the results of the team and hold appraisal and coaching interviews with your team(members).
- You will make sure that the team supplies on-time, complete and accurate information regarding time and attendance and other administrative processes as agreed with the management team
- You will perform quality evaluations of the team members’ activity and gives feedback for improving the performance
- You are responsible to define, monitor and report the local Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) as agreed with the internal customers
- You are involved in developing and monitoring the performance of the SSC based on reports and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
- You make sure that our A/R processes meet our legal and fiscal requirements.
- You are responsible for a constant A/R workflow and assist in offering the best possible service for our customers
- When needed you will assist in treating and solving customer specific cases and complaints.
- You will work closely together with the management team and other Team Leads in the SSC and in Venlo.
- You will work closely together with external relations and with internal stakeholders such as but not limited to Customer Service, Sales and E-Commerce.
- You will assist in GL Accounting Reconciliations and other Month- end Year end Reconciliations and audits.
- You will proactively come up with ideas and solutions to the management team to address team challenges (e.g. motivation of team, attrition, development)
- You will have an active involvement in the recruitment & training process of new members in the team and will keep the attrition rate at a low level
- You will act as an escalation & key contact point on process
- You will ensure accuracy in delivering records and prepares reports at request of management following agreed timelines
- Monitors and reports the possible issues IT related
- Adheres to Office Depot’s set of values, complying with Company’s internal procedures while performing his/her tasks and having a business like conduct
What do you need to be successful in this role
- Higher Vocational level of thinking and 2-4 years of relevant experience
- You have significant experience in leading/managing a team.
- You have excellent all-round experience in Accounts Receivable (credit control, cash application and collection).
- You have significant experience in working with AS400, JDE, Comsys and MS-Office. Oracle and/or SAP are an additional plus.
- You have an excellent command of the Germanlanguage both written as verbally. You have an at least very good command in the English language both written as verbally.
- You have a very good knowledge in, and experience with reporting and analyzing.
- You are able to constantly motivate yourself and others.
- You can work under pressure, you have a pro-active attitude and you are a decisive person.
- You have a flexible mindset and you are willing to travel.
