Job Description

Pentair Industrial Solutions business unit is experiencing significant growth. One of Pentair’s strategic growth pillars is the Biogas area. The projects will be engineered and produced at our Pentair sites or at an approved supplier. Pentair - Sustainable Gas Solutions (SGS) is specialized within CO? recovery solutions and Biogas upgrading solution. Pentair helps its clients to lower their carbon footprint and energy bills, and currently we serve customers in more than 150 countries worldwide. To achieve further growth, we are looking for a:

CAD / Mechanical Designer

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION

The CAD Designer will be responsible for the mechanical design and pipeline planning in the customer projects to do the design for the plant based on the P&IDs prepared by the Project Engineering Group.

The CAD Designer ensures good quality and timely completion of the engineering together with his Lead CAD Engineer and the CAD Department.

Main Responsibilities

  • Order management: Support CAD Engineers;
  • Machine / Component dimensioning: Calculation of technical data for specification on the drawing / parts list (weights, volumes, quantities)
  • Design solutions: Set up detail and assembly drawings to scale and production standards & according to design specifications or adapt and modify existing drawings as well as creating views and sections and checking them for plausibility; Checking interfaces to skids and neighboring machines for collision; Carry out design changes according to specifications; Determine and select standard components and semi-finished products; Draw up foundation plans / plant layouts and carry out changes and updates to layouts (assembly drawings); Create detail designs according to specifications; Simplify models and assembly drawings
  • Communication & exchange of information: Exchange of information with the other teams and specialist departments, (e.g., alignment of detail design with process engineering & automation, supply chain and assembly, field assembly and commissioning)
  • Documentation & risk assessments: Preparation of additional information for operating, maintenance instructions and manuals (Pictures, drawing extracts, etc.)

Qualifications And Competences

  • Mechanical Design - apprenticeship with relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of tools such as 3D CAD Software (e.g., Inventor, Creo) , PDM Software (e.g., Windchill, Vault)
  • 3 years of experience minimum as Mechanical Designer.
  • Experiences on working in a project team
  • Knowledge of relevant guidelines and norms.
  • Intermediate level in English.
  • Independent, proactive, flexible and determined and resilient to stress.
  • Team-player who enjoys working closely with others and thrives in a team environment.
  • Detail consciousness, with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Good communication skills
  • Open mindset and able to adapt to complex processes.
  • Willingness to work in an international team environment
