Job Description

ITTQ ( International Trade Transaction Qualification ) Coordinator

As Pentair continues to drive growth in its Global Food and Beverage (F&B) business, it is often necessary to conduct business in regions where US sanctions and trade restrictions apply. In order to facilitate this business whilst complying with US law, it is imperative that the Pentair Compliance and Sales teams work to identify any risk, which might be prohibited under US law.

The Food &Beverage business unit has created the ITTQ process as a tool to assist the Sales team in gathering the requisite information on potential end customers and associated shareholders in order that the compliance team can determine if any risk exists with each transaction.

ITTQ Team

ITTQ is an internal compliance process to make sure that Pentair operate within US law when selling to specific US sanctioned countries such as Russia and Belarus. The person whom will fulfill the ITTQ role will be based in the Pentair Haffmans office at Venlo, Netherlands and will operate alongside the F&B customer service team, as well as interacting daily with customers, Pentair compliance & legal colleagues. This means that the ITTQ process coordinator will have daily contact with a diverse group of enthusiastic professionals located across Europe, which will provide opportunities to visit other Pentair facilities across as necessary.

Your responsibility @ Pentair:

As the ITTQ process owner, you are a member of the F&B Sales organization responsible for executing and streamlining the ITTQ process in order to minimize the compliance process lead-time, which in turn reduces the operations lead-time thereby allowing Pentair to deliver our goods faster. The ITTQ process owner will be responsible for day-to-day implementation of the ITTQ process, on an order-by-order basis engaging with customers, compliance and external counsel whilst collaborating with sales and customer service to ensure that any potential delays are flagged up. In addition, you will be responsible for the ITTQ process improvement using your previous experience to reduce the process lead-time.

You Will Also

  • Facilitate ITTQ backlog refinement sessions to keep the sales organization up to date whilst cataloging key delay events.
  • Understand and articulate the requirement of both sales and compliance, attending any requisite training as required and advising the CS and sales teams as required.
  • Support team(s) in understanding the customer requirements.
  • Support team(s) in understanding the compliance requirements.
  • Keep the stakeholders and other team members up to date on each ITTQ entry.
  • Collaborate with the compliance team to minimize the company’s risk.
  • Collaborate with the sales teams to identify and categorise existing customers in listed countries.
  • Collaborate with customer service create a smooth handover process between sales -> ITTQ -> sales ensuring timely feedback and process turnaround.
  • Assist the sales teams with ad hoc back office tasks as required.

General Qualifications

Your Skills and Experiences are:

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, strong attention to detail, and completes work in a timely manner. Russian language skills would also be an advantage.
  • Highly organized and able to effectively manage through large sets of data to systematize for use across numerous applications.
  • Critical thinker with sound judgment who is resourceful in researching and tracking down necessary information to solve business needs.
  • Ability to work effectively and thoroughly in a fast paced and remote-communication environment with a variety of functional stakeholders including, sales, engineering, product management, After Market Service, customer support and legal, as well as external customers.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and/or other ERP system desirable.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products including excel.


Specific Qualifications

  • General familiarity and prior experience with corporate import/export compliance programs is required, including a working knowledge of specific trade sanctions and legislation in the US and EU.
  • A third level qualification involving international Trade Compliance Analysis would be an advantage.
  • Prior experience working in a sales support function at a multi-national corporation.
  • Understanding of large project base businesses and aftermarket sales programs associated with a project sale, preferred.
