Production Manager SGS – Venlo, NL

Position Summary

Pentair is currently seeking a Production Manager to lead the Production organization in Venlo. Out of this site also production at global fabrication shops is supervised.

Main role is to coordinate and facilitate the daily operations of the Production-department. This to provide adequate resources, on-going work direction and problem solving to ensure business goals are met under the guidelines of the company policies and procedures. Be a change agent and drive growth and eliminate waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology. In this role, the Production Manager will be responsible for identification of continuous improvement initiatives. Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assure that the team operates consistently within the EHS, Quality policies and procedures of Pentair Corporation.
  • Lead safety awareness and implement new and innovative techniques to assure a safe working environment.
  • Drive a continuous improvement philosophy utilizing the Pentair Integrated Management System (PIMS).
  • Manage Daily work through visualization of progress, early signaling issues and escalating if required.
  • Develop budget and control costs ensuring continuous improvement activity that will enable site to reach the performance objectives.
  • Interface with supply chain, engineering, project leaders &-teams, finance, sales and product development (e.g. to support Sales-processes, SIOP, VAVE and NPD processes)
  • Drive the strategy deployment process and ensure that it is cascaded throughout the organization.
  • Focus on product quality improvements by incorporating error/mistake proofing techniques.
  • Develop and execute production plans to meet customer delivery expectations.
  • Assure that Pentair Leadership Values are practiced
  • Coach and develop team members to be high performance results driven leaders.
  • Assure cooperation between all production teams.
  • Provide leadership and support for production team metrics and decision-making.
  • Foster a team environment and assure compliance with Pentair’s diversity initiative.

Key Qualifications: You

  • Have earned at least a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Have 7 years of experience in manufacturing of engineered products.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Show the ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2 year time span.
  • Show the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Have manufacturing systems development and deployment.
  • Demonstrate problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Have technical skills in Lean Manufacturing techniques, Kaizen, Process Improvement, freight and distribution, materials management and production scheduling.
  • Foster employee training and development.
  • Have strong customer orientation.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Build high performance teams and is a strong team player.
  • Have strong commitment to company values.
  • Have excellent computer proficiency MS-office and ERP-systems (preferably SAP)

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts on the factory floor, may need to work in an environment where the noise level could be moderate to very loud.

Travel

Must be willing to travel to the projects, customer and supplier sites.
