Pentair’s Sustainable Gas Solutions, contribute to this Mission by supplying CO2 Technologies to Recover, Extract and Generate Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Biogas Upgrading solutions turning Biogas waste into Revenue Streams (Biomethane and CO2), helping our clients to lower their carbon and energy footprint, and protecting the environment. Proposal Specialist, Venlo NL

Job Description

The position of Proposal Specialist is a combined role. Together with the sales managers, you provide technical and commercial competitive solutions to our customers and convert these into orders.

You are also responsible to support the Front Office during the entire tendering process.

Your external contacts are suppliers, sub-contractors, project engineers, agents and account managers at the various sales and service offices. They perceive you to be a team player who provides sound technical advice and guarantees swift service. Internally you will work closely with your team members, various sales managers, projects & engineering and the service department.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Organize and develop sales proposals and quotation. This would include working with Regional Sales Managers, Distributions, Marketing managers, Engineering, Suppliers to gather information, examine, and organize documentation in order to develop proposals and quotations for customers and direct bids.
  • Provide technical information and pricing estimates relating to parts bids on new equipment. This position will also determine special requirements for order processing
  • Develop, organize and administer custom quotations to meet customer specifications
  • Support in developing, organizing and administering standard sales formats for library quotes and equipment costings
  • Support Supply Chain and Operations with information related to usage of parts and materials of construction for forecasting needs
  • Responsible for order processing

Profile

  • You have a Bachelor degree, preferably in a technical or commercial field;
  • Have a background in equipment manufacturing and/or process industry company
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a sales / office environment
  • Good organization skills, good work ethics, and the ability to be self-motivating are necessary
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and strong communication skills.
  • Good written and spoken English. Dutch language is a plus.
  • You are commercial, creative and solution-oriented.
  • You are proactive, energetic and conceptual with a hands-on mindset.
  • You have got experience with a CRM system (preferably Sales Force) and CPQ tool.
  • Experience researching costs of process equipment and components (compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, chillers, and blowers) would be a plus.
