We have an opportunity for an SGS Sourcing Leader to join our team. You will be reporting directly to the Industrial Solutions Group Leader and be responsible for the SGS Sourcing activities for Direct Materials across all spend categories. Your team will execute strategic business and industry engagement to establish a reliable, resilient, and effective supply base. You will also lead an organization tasked with delivering on end-to-end targets by driving activities including, but not limited to, Regional Category Management (where applicable), Supplier Management, Sourcing, Contracting, Innovation, and Talent Management. Further, you will be accountable for delivering quality, delivery and financial targets, including cost and working capital improvement. You must embrace agile ways of working and will be accountable for developing the team and recruiting world class talent, being a critical partner of the Leadership Team of the SGS business.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary sourcing interface for the General Manager and a single point of contact for the SGS Business, build and maintain strong professional relationships with team members
  • Coordinate and coach a multidisciplinary Sourcing team including strategic (Commodity Buyers) and operational (Project Buyers) members
  • Create and deploy sourcing harmonized processes to optimize and support the team work
  • Develop a multi-year sourcing strategy for the SGS business that takes into consideration market challenges and ensures that quality, delivery, and cost are optimized
  • Agree on business imperatives, prioritize sourcing projects and business support, align on yearly targets and capture them in the transformation plan
  • Define the financial path to capture it accurately in the budget and quarterly/monthly reviews
  • Achieve material productivity, ensure cost avoidance, and implement strategic objectives (working capital optimization, supply base reduction, contract coverage, POC sales etc.) according to agreed targets
  • Supervise the development and the execution of sourcing commodity strategies
  • Support the product standardization effort
  • Report on Sourcing specific KPI’s during MBR’s, business reviews etc.
  • Regularly communicate on opportunities, challenges, and market updates

Key Qualifications

  • Relevant study (minimum Bachelor level), Business or Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in Procurement, Direct Materials
  • Strong influencer, determined negotiator combining strategic agility and analytical skills
  • High energy, Strategic & positive thinker, Team player able to deal with cross-cultural environments
  • International business experience; ability to work well with various international cultures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, other European languages are a plus
  • Preparedness to travel for work
