Technical Support Engineer - Venlo, The Netherlands

Currently we sell and service our products in more than 150 countries around the world, with major sites in Venlo/NL, Fredericia/DK, Daytona Beach FL/USA and Ningbo/China. We currently have a great opportunity for Technical Support Engineers , to join our Venlo team.

The main base is Venlo Netherlands, but due to our focus in the UK, we are hiring locally to support our customers from home office in the UK and worldwide.

The Role

As a Technical Support Engineer with Pentair you will provide Technical Support both internally with various disciplines and externally with customers, suppliers and sales offices to handle the support requests and to maintain and maximize our customer satisfaction, and guarantee continuity and consistency within the Technical Support department. This by means of telephone, written or on-site contact, whereby independent tinkering, adjustments, calibration, electrical connection as well as programming of various devices and machines can be an assignment. In this role you will report to the team leader technical support.

You Will

  • Provide technical support to customers (internal as well external)
  • Perform problem analysis and provide advice
  • Optimize product quality and provide support/prepare Service visits to customers
  • Maintain the information database
  • Setting up, managing and providing internal and external technical training
  • Participate actively within Project teams.
  • Assist production at X-Checks to test new installations in-house or on site
  • Participate in the technical support service to provide 24-7 service support to our customers
  • Perform occasional external maintenance, calibrations, repairs, troubleshooting and short commissioning of all equipment.
  • Willing to travel for short periods of time (25%)

Key Qualifications

  • MBO+ or HBO education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering AOT or Process Technology.
  • At least 3 years of work experience as a (Service) Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Language skills, written and spoken, English, Dutch and German. Spoken Italian is an added benefit.
  • Good technical knowledge of cooling technology and PLC systems (Siemens).
  • Flexible attitude, results-orientated, team player
  • Knowledge of CRM systems
