Let me ask you; does it give you anxiety or excitement? Of your answer is the latter then we should talk. Now, you might wonder why I asked all of this. Well, I believe that it is vital for the position of Senior Transport Planner to not panic in the sight of possible chaos. For when you stay calm with adhoc situations the solution will show itself sooner. With 60 vidaXL trucks, subcontractors, 300 trailers and our transport partners we are driving to 40 destinations in 15 countries every day. Just to give you an idea of the responsibilities that would lay on your shoulders.

But what will you be doing as a Senior Transport Planner?

• Responsible for the (tactical) outbound planning and execution of all our and other clients transports across Europe;
• Responsible for the dispatchers that coordinate the daily transport and the network of clients and transport partners to make the planning fit in the most efficient and reliable way;
• Making sure that pick up at suppliers within Europe is taken care of;
• Maintaining an up-to-date maintenance planning of the fleet;
• Assessing the quality and availability of the drivers;
• Maintaining the capacity for inbound containers;
• Participating in projects and development of the transport activities for vidaXL in Europe.

For you to be successful in this position, the following things are vital:

• 5+ years of experience as a (Senior) Transport Planner;
• verifiably stated skills in TMS, Excel, Board Computers;
• A network of companies for buying and selling loads is a big advantage;
• Up-to-date knowledge of the legal aspects of international road transport;
• proactive attitude towards your own team, clients and other departments;
• Meeting client expectations at the realistic cost;
• English language skills at a high level;
• Allowed to work in the Netherlands with a residency in the Venlo area.
